Here’s sharing with you one of our Uni-Pak Mackerel recipes, plus one of our readers will be receiving a Uni-Pak gift pack in this blog giveaway.
If there is one thing our pantry hardly ever gets out of stock of, it is mackerel and sardines. Sardines and mackerel are two of the most nutritious foods, with the highest sources of essential omega-3 fatty acids on the planet, protein, vitamin D, (and also calcium when the bones are eaten), including many other important trace minerals and vitamins.
Way before we were sent this package, we were already regular consumers of Uni-Pak. In fact, I took a peek at our pantry, and I still have two cans left from our previous grocery shopping.
Uni-Pak Sardines in Tomato Sauce and Soya Oil
We have altogether stopped buying pork and chicken for around two years now. And it has been the healthiest years in our family, so far. We are still lovers of steaks (but only beef please), so we still indulge from time to time. But as for our daily sustenance, it’s more of fish and organic produce.

I really don’t have fancy names for the viands I cook, I sometimes even come up with the weirdest combinations but what’s important is my family loves them all. My 11 year old son, who stands almost 5’4, is crazy over the dishes I cook, and eats like a hobbit (several times a day). We are all slowly mastering the art of healthy eating. 🙂
