Dinelli Date at 50% off via Metrodeal

When I saw from the Metrodeal Facebook Page that they were offering 50% for Dinelli Gourmet deal, I knew I just had to check it out. Fine dining at such a steal should be worth the try, I thought. And I cannot be more right. πŸ™‚

Dinelli’s ambiance is skillfully designed with warm yellow lighting. A perfect night cap place. Now, I’m not sure about it being fine dining looking for my taste. But their menu sure offer a variety of gourmet steaks and choices of cheeses that are common to fine dining places. Good enough for me and I was not one bit disappointed. πŸ™‚

My first Metrodeal review has already got me sold out that this group buying site is no fraud. I got turned off by one of the other group buying sites in the past, so I have been more careful since.

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Dinelli Gourmet was located in the same building where I took my one week course in Maquillage Professionel last week. Β I thought it was the perfect time to ask one of my girls in church who might be available. I was so glad Clarissa was available for lunch last Wednesday. Β This is something I hope to do every so often from hereon out. πŸ™‚

Grilled Chicken Pesto Fusilli, P300

Grilled marinated chicken breast with basil, pesto and Grana Padano

As what I would often do whenever I dine in any restaurant for the first time, I ask what their best seller is for each food category. For pasta, the good waiter said it was Grilled Chicken Pesto Fusilli. So it is. It was filling. I ordered this for myself. But since the serving was huge, I shared it with Clariss. I would have shared the chicken in it with her if I knew it was too filling for one person to devour. Β But she did love the pasta! I did too. The pesto was seasoned just right. Nothing of the overpowering pesto flavor from one of those restaurants I went to some months back. The waiter was kind enough to heat the pasta in time for Clarissa’s arrival. She came in a little later because of the heavy rains.

Prosciutto Arugula Ciabatta Pizza, P200

Prosciutto, arrugula, paremgiano, reggiano and tomato sauce. – The fine print can’t be more simply put. I love the leafy arugula that went with it. It definitely gave the kind of twist a pizza eater will be interested to try.

Now, you can’t really go to an Italian restaurant and not try out their pizza offerings, or at least one of them. So I asked the waiter what their pizza bestseller is and was told that it’s the Prosciutto Arugula Ciabatta Pizza. It was only lunch time then and they only have one piece left for the day. Okay now, I am convinced. It is also served in a non-traditional way that we, locales, are used to having our pizza.

Minestrone Soup, P180

Grandma’s specialty loaded with chicken and vegetables

Clarissa initially ordered the Brocolli and Cheese soup. But we were told that it is not available. So she settled for Minestrone Soup, which she said is good, but tomato based soup is not exactly one of her favorites. So, I ended up finishing the whole thing. I loved it! The vegetables complimented everything about the soup. At first, I found the soup a little too greasy for my taste. But the overall well seasoned yummyness of it, makes up for “being a little too greasy”. It’s something I will order again when I go again to visit.

Is it just me or do we all think that dining places without WiFi is primitive? Dinelli does not belong to that list – they have free WiFi! Yay! πŸ˜€

Chocolate Cheesecake

This chocolate cheesecake complemented everything we devoured that afternoon. Since my being lactose intolerant does not allow me to enjoy these kinds of indulgences, I only took a bite. I have to agree with Clariss. The texture of the cake was more of a pudding than otherwise. But its being not overly sweet won the favor of my taste receptors.

Above is the most decent shot we finally got. Clariss is finishing up her dessert. We still have a balance of a few hundred more. But since we were already full, I got a hungarian sausage take out for pasalubong for the little guy.

I am loving all the Metrodeal coupons that we have vouchered away so far. Β I will blog about our next stop next week. πŸ™‚
