We arrived right about lunch time at the Thunderbird Resorts Poro Point and our first stop was Olives Restaurant.
I may have been famished when we arrived, but I found everything that were served, scrumptious. First off, a collage of what we had for lunch. 🙂
Bread & Butter as we waited for the main meal, Shrimp Bisque, Devilled Chicken and an assortment of sweet treats for dessert.
This for our view as we dined in Olives Restaurant – how can anything go wrong, seriously? I was in Santorini heaven!
Allow me to let you in on a food photo essay on what we had for lunch the next day.
Four Cheese Pizza, P680
Olive’s Restaurant’s has a different take on the four cheese pizza as I’ve known to have it. Theirs are made up of: Goat’s, Parmesan, Feta and Mozarella cheeses.  I missed our family’s usual blue cheese favorite thrown into our four-cheese pizza, but this one has a kick all its own. Suffice it to say, it was finished in under a minute. Of course, it was to share but we were all pretty happy with the cheese mix. 😛
Watermelon Shake, P160
Nope, there’s no way you can go with watermelon shake. It’s always refreshing any day. Take it from  a watermelon junkie! 🙂
Prawn Sinigang, P480
Somebody from our group ordered a bowl of prawn sinigang. Never got taste it but judging from how soon it was wiped out, it must’ve been good.
Crispy Fried Pork Belly, P320
Not my order too. I haven’t been a huge pork eater for a while now but I thought I’d include in my post anyway just so you’ll know what the Olives Restaurant has to offer. One thing for sure, all dishes that were served were essentially for sharing.
Spicy Lamb Shank “Moroccan Style,” P640
Braised with ginger, saffron, chilies and raisins served with couscous.
Pan-fried Salmon marinate with ginger and lime, P580
This Pan-fried Salmon was made with jalapeno chili, lime, minced garlic and oil. Its look reminded me a lot like that of Crab Maritess until it landed on my taste receptors – it was jalapeno chili all right and what I always love about jalapeno is its sting goes away in no time. The salmon was perfectly seared and was very flavorful. The only reason I wasn’t able to finish the whole plate was its enormous serving. It applies to most dishes we ordered.
Seafood Combination, P680
Salmon, Prawns, Mussels, Tuna and Tanigue in Tarragon cream. Everything a seafood loves would love. A friend ordered and wiped this out. A testament to good food. I’m having this the next time I visit. It’s essentially a treat since you get to try every seafood in one go.
I’m posting Olives Restaurant’s menu for my dear readers reference.
This restaurant has a wide range of good food offerings.
Drinks Menu
During the Thunderbird Resorts Ground Breaking Event, we were told that Olives is going to have a makeover. How soon that’ll be, I’m not sure just yet. Will get this post updated when we get a word. Meanwhile, I’ve personally dined in here three times during my stay and I recommend that this is a restaurant worthy of checking out.
