Adobe CQ5 Component Developer Certification examination

The Adobe CQ5 Component Developer examination is a specialized test that if passed will allow an individual to obtain a role working as a web content administrator, digital asset manager, or as a developer. The specialized certification test is only available in the English language.

Interested applicants who wish to complete the examination can register to take the test through a Pearson VUE center. Registration fees must be rendered prior to completing the exam. The registration fees for the test are $359.00.

It is vital that an individual completing this examination possesses an appropriate amount of prerequisites before completing the test. This examination is targeted towards individuals who possess at least one to two years of minimal experience working as a Java Developer. The experience should be at least one full year of experience working with various software programs.

Applicants will need to be proficient when it comes to working with Sling, JCR, CQ, and Felix. A basic understanding of JSP, HTML, and Javascript is also encouraged. The examination consists of fifty two questions. These questions are split up into different objectives, with each objective possessing a specific amount of testing questions that coincide with it.

The minimum passing score that is required to obtain a certification is a 72%. Individuals completing the examination are given 85 minutes to do so. The questions are multiple choice, and there are two parts the examination. Short surveys are given as the second part to the test to gather information on the applicant that relates to their product knowledge.
