To break away, even just for a while, from all the drudgery of my backlogs, I dragged my boys last night to Greenhills to dine in at Bubble Tea and have dessert at Honeybee Patisserie, the latter being conveniently located inside Bubble Tea. It has been a while since we last dropped by. I have always loved the cozy interior of this place.
Korean Chicken with Kimchi Fried Rice, P275
This is what the hubby had for dinner. His first time to taste it. I would have it that it’s the Kimchi that made him order this. I had a chopstick bite and find it too spicy for my taste. He loved it enough that I heard him sniff between bites. A good benchmark, I’d say, if something is as spicy as it should be. 🙂
Pork Katsudon, P175
My son had Pork Katsudon. Breaded pork cutlet with egg and mixed vegetables. I love that this serving is huge enough for my son’s big appetite. He was hesitant to try it at first but instantly loved it at first bite. I love the spread of vegetables all over the cutlets.
Gyoza Miso Ramen, P165
The miso broth noodles and gyoza dumplings tandem were the exact recipe to quench my miso and gyoza craving I have had for a week. The ramen part was what made it enough for it to be my dinner. The mushroom and imitation crab meat slices were welcome additions too! 🙂
Mango Cream Puff, P60/piece
We were really shooting for the sweets when we came here. I liked this. But it was not spectacular. I have had better cream puffs in the past. I like that the sweetness is just right. But I find the bread a little on the hard side. I love the breads of my cream puff to be soft enough for me to dig in without me having to use a knife.
Chocolate Decadence, P880 or P115/slice
We brought home this flourless chocolate cake with luscious custard filled in between. I chose this because aside from being a certified chocoholic, the flourless part got me all curious. Apparently, flourless cakes are possible. I have been baking for years and this is the first time I have encountered a flourless cake! I love how decadent and fudgy this cake turned out. The custard filling won the hubby over several slices after I unboxed it at home. It’s a must try if you happen to dine in at Honeybee Patisserie. The location is close to where I used to spot buy auto lifts at Toys for the Big Boys shop and Cardinal Santos Hospital.
