The Lunch Towers from Italianni’s, also known as the Towering Flavors of Lunch, are great lunch options and they are enough to be shared by two people. I was able to try these lunch towers which come in three layers (that’s why they are called towers) of dishes that are meant to complement each other.
Italianni’s Towering Flavors of Lunch come in two set meals, the first of which is the Traditionale Tower. This lunch tower has the Insalata Felice, the Half Shell Mussels Capperi and the Chicken Parmigiana with Penne.
Traditionale Tower
The Insalata Felice is a light, healthy salad that is great for starters.
The Half Shell Mussels Capperi are fresh New Zealand mussels (much larger than our usual sized mussels) cooked in white wine and mussel broth but seasoned with herbs, black olives, capers and garlic.
At the bottom of the tower is the Chicken Parmigiana with Penne which is chicken pieces in Parmesan cheese crusting and served with penne pasta in Alfredo and tomato sauce.
Buon Gusto Tower
The other tower lunch is the Buon Gusto Tower. The three dishes for this set are the Insalata Pescatore, the Lasagna della Casa and the Grilled Porkchop with Asparagus.
The Lasagna della Casa is on the top of this tower lunch. It is Italianni’s classic meat and tomato lasagna.
The second layer is the Insalata Pescatore which is a salad – fresh garden vegetables mixed with huge shrimps and mussels tossed in Italian dressing.
At the bottom is the Grilled Porkchop with Asparagus which is basically classic porkchops with some mushroom gravy.
The trio dishes or the lunch towers reflect what Italianni’s is popular for – bold flavors and hearty servings. So for the price of PHP 895 and PHP 995 for the Traditionale Tower and the Buon Gusto Tower, respectively, these offer great savings. When I actually tried them with some friends, realistically, they could be shared by three people without compromising each person’s satisfaction. After finishing the lunch towers more than two hours ago, still, my tummy is full. The Towering Flavors of Lunch is available in all Italianni’s branches from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
