If there is anything I miss about my college days, it is this one restaurant in P. Noval Street – S.R. Thai Cuisine. It is my default to go place when I feel like having something special with my batchmates back then. During my college days, with limited allowance, I only get to have my Thai fix once in every while. It is extra convenient that the Commerce building is the closest building to UST’s Dapitan exit.
S.R. Bagoong Rice
S.R. Thai will always be my favorite food joint in UST. The last time I went to visit my alma mater was when I had to request for my transcript for my Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) licensure application in 2008. Too bad, I failed to go visit S.R. Thai that time. I do not really have a decent photo of my favorite dish from S.R. Thai. The above photo is from S.R. Thai’s FB page. Unlike college students these days donned with nifty gadgets to take photos, the most I had back then was my Easy Call beeper. Yes, it was that long ago. The above photo of my favorite S.R. Bagoong Rice is enough motivation for me to head back to Manila and have a taste of my college days.
I honestly have no idea if S.R. Thai’s food offerings are as close to real Thai food as they can get. But this definitely is one motivation for me to look into affordable flights thailand for our next out of the country trip. I would love to have a taste of the authentic Thailand delicacies. The plan is for our family to have our ultimate Thai food feast when we get there. 🙂
