Culinary icon Glenda Barretto makes one of her rare appearances on February 23,Saturday, 9am-1pm as guest chef of The Maya Kitchen. In a culinary first, Barretto will talk about her decades-long dominance as a Filipino cuisine icon most notably her process in creating a dish and how she has managed to remain on top in a highly competitive field. She will answer questions and will share tips and tricks both as a chef and as an entrepreneur.
During the course of the dialogue, one of Barretto’s long time chefs will demonstrate recipes of well loved Filipino dishes. The culinary dialogue is a first for both Barretto and The Maya Kitchen.
An accomplished chef, caterer, entrepreneur and author, Barretto is the force behind the Via Mare chain of restaurants. She has almost single handedly elevated catering into an art form, serving local and foreign dignitaries as well as celebrities and movers of society. She has penned bestselling culinary books as a solo author. In the recent past, she has collaborated with other chefs to come out with the well acclaimed coffee table book, Kulinarya.

Certificate Courses with hands-on: Fundamentals of Bakery Production, February 26-March 1, Tuesday-Friday, 10am-3pm and Basic Culinary, February 19-22, Tuesday-Friday, 9am-3pm.
