If the CnT Lechon was our gastronomical highlight in Cebu, it is Blugre last week when we were in Davao. I’ve been to Davao a total of three times and I never leave without immersing myself in BluGre goodness. And that’s coming from someone who one might call a coffee drinker. Truth be told, I can only count with my digits the number of times I drank regular coffee. It might have a lot to do that I love durian though.
Durian Larcepuccino Ice Blended Coffee, P145
My favorites from BluGre are the Gatchpuccino and Larcepuccino, which are essentially coffee blend mixed with the durian pulp, which is Davao’s famous icon fruit. Durian, that is. I finally got to ask one of BluGre’s server what’s with the coffee names. I was told that both came from the owners name. Fine by me, as long as they keep selling their coffee. 🙂
Larcepuccino Durian and Cream, P135
Last week was my first time to try their Larcepuccino Durian and Cream without the coffee and it’s good just the same. My first BluGre experience was at their Matina Townsquare branch. All our BluGre visits during Davao visit last week were all at their SM City Davao branch. BluGre is also on Twitter. I just found that out when I shared my BluGre post on Instagram (@jenaspacio) and @BluGre replied and said my favorite durian coffee place will soon be available in Manila as they have recently opened for franchise. Can I just say, I can’t wait! There’s just nothing quite like BluGre coffee. Writing this post alone is making me crave and the worse part is there’s nothing I can do about it. 🙂
