The first thing that got me as soon as I stepped in Bubble Tea in Tomas Morato was its lovely and pleasant ambiance. I often find myself drawn to places like this. I love how playful and light the place feels. It’s just like being transported back to my childhood, Sanrios and all those pretty things. 😀
As we lingered in Bubble Tea, we soon enough found out that it is certainly more than just a pretty place. The very first thing that caught me when I flipped the menu open was my favorite Japanese street food treat – Takoyaki. It was just so timely because I have been craving for authentic Takoyaki balls that day. For some reason the fake Japanese balls in the malls just won’t satisfy.
Bubble Tea’s Takoyaki Balls, P175
I had to borrow this photo from my husband (shot via his spanking Nokia N8). Because I totally forgot to take pictures using my camera as soon as these octopus balls landed on our table. Devoured, I did and I was not the least disappointed. 🙂
I honestly thought Bubble Tea was nothing more than a milk tea with tapioca balls place. I cannot be more surprised to find a menu filled with all the Japanese goodness. Here are some of my favorites.
Aspara Bacon Yaki, P185
Grilled asparagus skewers wrapped in bacon goodness. I love it to bits. It’s definitely a must try. I seriously could finish a couple of orders (or more) of this in one sitting.
Dragon, P365
Prawn and unagi drizzled in teriyaki sauce and mayonnaise
My choice of milk tea for the night – Almond Milk Tea, P115(medium) & P125 (large)
Bubble Tea only makes premium milk tea and makes use of no less than first class Japanese ingredients and superior quality tea that they brew everyday. It will be easy to say this as you munch on those soft and chewy bubbles. 🙂

Although milk tea places are getting more known these days, Bubble Tea really has no direct competitors. Â “We are the only one in our category that is a full service restaurant serving PREMIUM FRESH milk tea and wide variety of Japanese fusion comfort food,” says Mr. Reagan Tan, Bubble Tea CEO.
