Our family loves Mexican food. Well, we love a handful of different cuisines, but Mexican seems to get the most votes whenever we want to go dine out. The thing with Mexican restaurants that we have locally, not all of them deliver. I can only count with my fingers the good ones that we patronize whenever our tummies go Mexican craving.
Given the chance to rendezvous and swing by restaurants in las colinas, I will go to this one Mexican place a dear friend I have been chatting with has been telling me about. She told me that there is this one place we should go to in her list of frisco tx restaurants, given the chance I get to visit her in Texas. That will be Mattitos Tex-Mex. My friend told me their dishes are as good as they look.
Then I read Barrett Brown CityGuide‘s raves on the celebrated Mexican restaurant:
“Hungry patrons may choose from gorditas and fajitas of various makes, although the particularly famished might be better off with such resident specialties as the fillet Mignon with Chipotle sauce. Even the chips and their accompanying dips are quite notable, to hear the regulars tell it.”
And like the foodie that I am, I did a bit of browsing and as I checked out more about one of the more restaurants las colinas. With a Mexican food hungry kiddo always in tow, here’s their list. Pretty affordable too, right? Okay, I can’t wait to go Mattitos Tex-Mex now. Have you checked out that place, if you have, what do you think are the must trys? 🙂
Meanwhile, we will have to make do with our local versions. Should I go Agave, Mexicali or our neighboring Burrito Brothers? Should Mattitos Tex-Mex goes international, I sure hope they come to our shores. 🙂
